highlights from art basel

As promised, this week is chock filled with art, color, and inspiration.  Because there’s so much to share from Art Basel that I could devote weeks to covering all of the content {and that could be sorta boring}, I’ve made it super easy to get a feel for some of my favorite things from the weekend – separated by brights vs. neutrals.

Most of these works are from Basel but I jumped around a bit to see some of the satellite fairs like Verge, Nada, and Design Miami {plus I added a couple of party pics for good measure} so those are included as well.  I hope this gives you a little taste of what was out there if you weren’t able to attend this weekend!

Also, I’ve tried to properly credit all of the artists I shot this weekend but unfortunately two got lost in the fray.  If you’re an art aficionado and know who they belong to, please share and I’ll edit their names in.  If you have any questions about the works below, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments section below, I’ll do my best to try to answer them!

Even though I’ve gone totally neutral this year with holiday decor (white, gold, silver) I am secretly craving color — red and turquoise come to mind! Love all those patterns up top!

me too – I’m such a neutral girl all the way. my whole home is beige but I get the itch for color all the time. I think one of the Frank Stella paintings above could do the trick!
