a {not so imaginary} trip to the standard, miami beach

Remember months ago when I used to post about what I would pack on an imaginary vacation?  Well I sort of fell off the wagon with that feature but I’m bringing it back for a special occasion!

Evan and I got engaged at the Standard in Miami Beach last Friday and he surprised me with an impromptu stay at the hotel {one of our absolute favorite hangouts on the island}.  It couldn’t have been a more wonderful, family oriented weekend full of fun and relaxation.  Of course when I found out we would be staying, I ran home, heart still pounding in my chest, and threw together the most random assortment of stuff into a suitcase.  What can I say, I was still mildly blacked out from the shock…
