One thing nobody tells you before you get engaged is that the minute it happens, you’re supposed to have it all figured out. Starting approximately five minutes after Evan proposed, we start getting calls about whether we had set a date, registered, or made any plans. In my mind, I didn’t know I was getting married until five minutes ago – so who was supposed to be making these plans?
Now that our engagement party is coming up, despite that fact that we’ve requested no gifts on the invitation we’re still being asked where we’ve registered. It’s tough because Evan and I have been living together for a while already and we really don’t need much. I’ve been looking into registering at places where we can find cool, creative things that we don’t necessarily need but would love to own nonetheless. Perusing the ABC carpet & home site, there was no shortage of visual eye candy and next time in in NYC I’ll definitely have to scope out their registry options. Does any one out there have any other creative ideas? We’re also thinking about Jonathan Adler…
In the meantime, enjoy a few pieces I’m currently lusting after from ABC. Gorgeous, no?
