pattern play

If you’re like me, you appreciate all different types of art.  One day you may enjoy looking at paint splattered haphazardly on a canvas Jackson Pollock style, while on another, you may be more into something more precise and mapped out.  Today, I was looking for the latter.  I love the linear quality of these two patterns and how seemingly perfect and delicate each line is.  While number one is meant to convey a landscape, number two perfectly captures each ripple in the water.  Though they’re by different artists and the technique is quite different, the ideas are fairly similar and I really enjoy how they look side by side!
