putting together a registry

I know I don’t typically delve into wedding things here, but I’ve been meaning to do a post on registries for some time. When I first got engaged and was getting grilled on where I was registered (remember this post?) the whole process somehow felt stressful. Once we began putting together our wish lists, I had no idea what I was getting so worked up about – it was actually fun! We ultimately decided to register at two places – Williams Sonoma & Michael C. Fina.  Both have excellent customer service, great return policies, and I would highly recommend either.

I knew from the get go that I wanted all white everyday dishes and fell head over heels for the Bernardaud set pictured below. Each dish takes inspiration from architectural elements on the outside of the Louvre (click through to see the patterns in greater detail) – I love that! They’re definitely my most coveted item on our registry followed closely by some of our other favorites below. I’m so excited to revamp our kitchen and toss the hodgepodge of stuff we’ve randomly amassed over the years…

P.S. I hope I haven’t bored any of you folks who aren’t yet in this stage of life but I think engaged or not, anyone can appreciate gorgeous home and kitchen items right?

everyday place setting: dishes, napkin ring, napkin, tumblers, flatware

formal place setting: dishes, stemware, napkin, napkin ring

other fun household items: crystal platter, stainless bar tools, cappuccino maker, knife set, cocottes, kitchenaid mixer, slate board, geode coasters

I just found out you can also register on Amazon for things like Bose headphones, golf clubs, and other obscure boy things. Made the mistake of sharing that with my fiancé… So you never know, haha!

Great picks, Sarah! I totally agree with you on the white dish front, there’s no other way to go. I have the Brooklyn slate board and a crisp white kitchen aid- totally in love with both!

The registry has been my favorite part. I do too much registry stalking, though, so I always seen when people buy things. That’s almost as much fun as actually receiving them.

Great choice on the agate looking coasters! When I got married some of my favorite gifts were kitchen centered….especially my Cuisinart and the SodaStream…perfect for light vodka sodas.
