radio silence

As you may have noticed, it was completely quiet over here yesterday. I moved! I’m officially a West Villager now! As excited as I am about this new development, it somehow felt like we had way more stuff to pull out of boxes than what originally went in… Why does that always happen?

Needless to say, the apartment is pretty much a disaster zone and despite the fact that this picture of Elle Fanning has already made the rounds on the internet, it could not capture my current state of mind any more perfectly. So I hope you’ll excuse me while I continue to store, clean, tidy, and organize for the next couple of days. Wishing you an early happy weekend!

P.S. I so appreciated all of your help with the great couch debate! It seems like almost everyone prefers the look of a tufted couch (and I agree, they can be so chic), but in the end comfort was more important to me than I had previously thought. I went with number 2 in a gorgeous gray tweed and can’t wait to share some pics when it finally arrives!

Congrats on the move—and selecting the couch! My dream would be to live in West Village. Most of my favorite restaurants are there, and I love how close it is to Tribeca, SoHo, and downtown. Ahh, I’m already itching to get back to New York!

    Good luck unpacking.

I wish! Not any time soon but I am determined to do it in the next five years. (Now that I typed it, I have to do it, right?) We visit frequently though; most of my friends and some family live there. Will be there twice in August and also visiting in November!

Congrats on the move! I totally hate moving – it takes me forever to fully unpack and store everything nice and neatly. haha Good luck with that!! The west village is a great neighborhood too! :)

Hope moving hasn’t been too much of a pain, and all goes smoothly with unpacking!
I have to say I totally disagree with everyone, and don’t care much for the two with tufting at all. My vote would have been 2 or 4, and I gotta say you made the right call with 2, especially if it is the comfiest!
