dwell studio x robert allen

Several weeks ago I was invited to a blogger preview of the latest collaboration between Dwell Studio and Robert Allen. Though it was my first day of Fall semester and I wasn’t totally certain I’d be able to make it to my next class on time, when the founder and creative director of your favorite line of home furnishings (Christiane Lemieux) invites you to lunch, you say YES!

I had the best time mingling with an intimate group of some of my favorite design bloggers (like the gals from Good Bones, Great Pieces and Stacy of the blog Quintessence), previewing the new line Modern Color Theory, and chatting with Christiane and the Robert Allen team (each of whom were incredibly enthusiastic, talented, and oh so kind). An interesting Dwell Studio factoid I learned is that Christiane likes to include at least one animal motif in each collection as it tends to be a customer favorite – this year it’s the gazelle!

Take a peek at some of the luxe fabrics I snapped at the event below. I have to say, my absolute favorite is the faux malachite which comes in a blue, green, and black color way. I’m already dreaming up ways I can include it in my new apartment when the line launches next month! Of the fabrics below, do you have a favorite? And speaking of Dwell Studio, did anyone snag anything from their amazing One Kings Lane sale last week?
