my favorite movie scene

I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to watch the end of Thomas Crown Affair. I find the mix of cheeky Magritte bowler hats used as disguises, gorgeous impressionist art, and a debonair Pierce Brosnan (all set to the tune of a killer Nina Simone song) thrilling in a poetic sort of way. Besides some of the classics (Casablanca, The Graduate, Sabrina…) this may just be my favorite movie scene to date! Do you have an absolute favorite scene from a movie? Do share!

    Oh man, that is my mom’s favorite movie. The scene in White Christmas at the end when they open up the doors and it’s snowing like crazy is my favorite. Gets me every time! And the entirety of Amelie. That movie does no wrong.

      That’s too funny. I promptly watched Amelie right after Thomas Crown last night! It happened to be on also and is definitely in my top five favorites. The entire soundtrack is just the most charming thing I’ve ever heard!

      Perfectly put! I know it wasn’t shot too too long ago (and it’s a remake), but I feel like they just don’t make ‘em that way anymore…
