Slim Aarons

I’ve always loved the photography of Slim Aarons – his work has a way of transporting you to another time and place (and always a more glamorous one at that). Well-known for shooting jet-setters and celebs in their element during the 50′s, 60′s, and 70′s, in his own words he photographed “attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.” I was excited to see that One Kings Lane is offering a selection of his work discounted on the site today under the sale Behind The Lens. Though I don’t think I can bring one more piece of artwork into our place, I’m dying to own Sea Drive, a print I’ve long lusted after. What do you think? Should I pull the trigger?!

Below are a few more of my favorites from the sale…

It sounds like the photo would certainly bring you happiness… it’s worth seriously considering! I’ve always loved his work – especially the Giacomo Montegazza (the Lake Como cover image on La Dolce Vita). Be sure to keep us updated if you end up adding it to your collection!
