Crane & Canopy

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, interior designers are their own worst clients! Evan and I recently came to the realization that we’ve been living in our apartment for just over a year which is all well and good except that our bedroom is nowhere near complete. So when we found out that Crane & Canopy would be sending us the duvet set of our choice, I took it as a chance to pick something classic and beautiful and build our scheme around that. You gotta start somewhere right?

We chose the Linden Light Blue Border set for it’s simplicity and soothing color. It arrived while we were vacationing in Africa and I was so excited to see it on our doorstep when we got home!

As you can see from the pictures below, I paired it with the lavender block-printed quilt and shams we already owned and a new set of blue block-printed shams (the back pillows) that I picked up from John Derian. I loved the color combination so much and noticed a similarity in the colors of an antique star map my parents had lying around their place unhung. We snatched it up for over our bed, but it definitely needs something small mirrored on either side (any ideas people?!). So we’re getting there, and it all started with our new Crane & Canopy bedding! I can’t thank them enough for our new set, and the quality at their price points is definitely hard to beat. Also, our goldendoodle Zigfried loves it, so good stuff…

Next up, an upholstered bench at the foot of the bed and some desk zhushing… Any and all suggestions welcome!
