With fall semester over and done with, I feel like I can finally focus on what’s really important – holiday season (kidding)! But in all seriousness, I do love New York in winter. We’ve had our first real snow storm and suddenly it feels like whole city is gearing up for the upcoming festivities. On a side note, I watched Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s on Netflix the other night and I’ve never been so excited to check out the windows! I’ve never been one to make a point of heading to Fifth Avenue to check them out (it always felt so touristy) but after watching the movie and seeing how much hard work goes in to each and every one over a matter of months, I think I’ll pay closer attention this year.

My family is throwing a little holiday soirée next weekend and while the menu is all sorted out, I think what we’re missing is a touch of greenery for the front door. I absolutely love how unique these wreaths from Emily Thompson Flowers are. Each is hand made in her Brooklyn studio and are available in either 24″ or 30″ diameters. If you’re still looking for that perfect holiday decor, I highly recommend you visit her site!

I love your blog, Sarah. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous wreaths – I never would have thought to bring something like this to a holiday party, but now I’m tempted (especially by that Silver Birch). Ooh la la.
