Paris Recommendations

I’m off to Paris tomorrow for a what feels like a super short 5 day trip! My main goal was to tackle the famed design show Maison & Objet but once my entire family hopped on, it became more of a vacation (no complaints here). I have a few signature items on the agenda but I haven’t been to Paris in years and could use some tips if you’re willing to share. We would love some guidance on great places for drinks, lunch, obscure museums, shopping, etc. – whatever you have up your sleeve! If there are enough recommendations I’d be happy to compile them for everyone…

Au revoir!

You should eat at l’as du falafel in the Marais. And while you’re there, explore the marais. It’s such a charming part of the city. Enjoy!

I’m stealing these tips too Molly, since I’m also headed to Paris in a few weeks! So glad I saw this post!

Yay! I’m also going to Paris in a few weeks! I’m going to be checking your comments for tips to steal. ;)

Molly’s suggestions are great, especially visiting Merci! It might sound like a bit of a weird suggestion for Paris, but Candelaria was the best taqueria and a lovely atmosphere, too. Du Pain et Des Idees is a fantastic bakery near Canal St. Martin, and if you happen to find yourself in the 16th arr., Le Petit Pergolese was easily our most authentic Parisian dining experience!

Not to overwhelm you, but if you happen to see the new Food & Wine in the airport, there is a great article in the latest issue – 30 Best Places to Eat, Drink, & Shop in Paris Now. And Bon Appetit has published a few great Paris resources lately as well!

    Enjoy your trip!

We are hoping to go there sometime this year so I will definitely be following your adventures. Whenever I go to Paris, I have to go to Colette on Saint Honore. I wish I had more suggestions for you, but it looks like you have some great ones from other commenters!! Have a blast. xo
