saturday’s space

If you’ve yet to check out Guest of  Guest‘s spread on Heather Clawson, blogger behind the wildly popular Habitually Chic‘s Manhattan abode, I highly recommend you hop on over and check it out. Just as you’d expect there are lots of pretty little vignettes but I was most inspired by her bedroom.

I’ve been debating purchasing this kilim from Lulu & Georgia for a couple of months now but I fear in the interim it may have sold out. Since it was the palette I originally fell in love with (I planned to pull colors from it to design the rest of the room), I was excited to see Heather use the same exact print in the same color way as fabric for her headboard and a boudoir pillow. So I guess all is not lost! If anyone knows which showroom this print came from, I’d love it if you would share… Happy weekend!

AERIN

Despite the rain, I’m packing up and heading out East again for the weekend. My only plan other than vegging out on the couch and watching movies? Finally get myself over to Aerin Lauder‘s new Southampton shop! There are so many great new stores open this Summer (if you have yet to check out Serena & Lily in Wainscott, it totally lives up to the hype), and this one is at the top of my list. Below are a few of my favorites from Aerin’s recently launched site.

P.S. Recognize the logo? Happy Menocal who did our wedding suite illustrated it – which must be why I’m so drawn to it. Check in with me on instagram and facebook over the weekend for some snaps of my favorite details – and have a good one!

wish list

Well, I took another unintentional hiatus from blogging but it turns out it was just what I needed to stay sane these last couple of weeks. With finals behind me (phew!), I can finally focus on our wedding which is in literally three weeks – CRAZY! The past month has been nothing but studying, late nights spent over my drafting table, and a million little decisions related to table cloths, candles, and flowers. Safe to say I am so ready to do this thing!

As per usual, I’ve somehow made time (you know, on my cell phone in bed late at night) to continue to scour the internet for unique, pretty little things. I think of it as an alternative to a bedtime story as it somehow makes me feel more calm to end the day searching for treasures. So here they are, my ten favorite finds in my preferred palette these days.

P.S. I feel so out of the loop, what has everyone been up to lately? Any big news?!

wish-list

1. I fell head over heels for this Vine Chandelier by Jeff Zimmerman. If you follow me on instagram, you may have noticed I discovered it in the Fortuny showroom at the D&D Building. Someday I hope to call one my own!, 2. A pretty frond pattern in a springy green makes the perfect platter for entertaining this time of year!, 3. STILL dreaming about wallpapering my bedroom in this heavenly Eskayel wallpaper titled Parlor Secrets, 4. In the hunt for wedding baubles I came across these dainty little gems. I settled on a family heirloom but I’ve still got these on my mind. 5. This quartz cuff is the perfect stand alone accessory for a coverup and bikini by the pool this Summer. 6. Another wedding related find. Isn’t this the prettiest return address stamp you’ve ever seen? I love laurel motifs and might just have to pick this one up for thank you card writing. 7. A pair of Fortuny notebooks because why not? 8. For all you fellow Lulie Wallace lovers out there, for $98 this print (and two other versions) can come home with you – framed! 9. Thinking about investing in a pair of these Soludos Derby Flats for traipsing around the city, anyone tried them out yet? 10. Since discovering the gorgeous online shop Quitokeeto, I’ve been dying to make a purchase. Though I’m quite loyal to my Diptyque fragrance, Do Son, I think I’ll give this solid perfume in Rose/Tuberose a whirl.

Mother’s Day

It’s almost Mother’s Day and this year I’m going to be ahead of the game! My mom adores bright colors and I know she’ll just love this Spring-y floral card from The House That Lars Built paired with a pretty striped scarf from Calypso. Here’s hoping she’s not reading…

Trish & Co.

Wedding season is almost upon us and so the hunt for unique and special gifts begins! Wouldn’t one of these beautiful walnut cutting boards from Trish & Co. be perfect for the couple who cooks? Carved into shapes taken from the garden, I personally have my eye on the Swiss Moss Fern Board… So lovely! Which would you choose?
