the it list | rebecca d’amato

Another thursday, another It List. Meet Rebecca of Urban Flip Flops, one of my very first blog friends! We connected during an online blog course last October but didn’t actually meet until last week – crazy right?! Despite the fact that we had only just met face to face, it felt like we knew already knew each other for ages from our daily gchats (she’s kind of my wedding guru these days) and countless failed attempts to meet up.

We had the best time playing with diamonds at Ring Finger Studio in the design district (Becca is also one half of the popular blog Floridian Weddings so she’s always looking for new vendors down here – hit her up if you have any suggestions!) and eating at the new Michelle Bernstein lunch spot, Crumb on Parchment.  I’m so glad we finally got to meet in person and am thrilled to host her on C&S today!

at the moment

I arrived back in Miami last night after a whirlwind weekend in New Orleans.  Thanks to everyone who tweeted me great recommendations, we had the BEST time! Note to self: take more trips without planning an itinerary.  One of the best parts of this weekend was that we had no where to be at any particular time.  We just wandered New Orleans and made spur of the moment decisions – it was exhilarating!

As you can imagine, I’m now completely beat.  The mix of wind, rain, and fog here isn’t helping matters much either…  With that said, I didn’t have much time over the past week to plan new posts, so that’s exactly what I’ll be curled up on my couch doing all day today.  In the meantime, I’m over on elembee sharing what I’ve been up to at the moment (plus a little surprise that I’m REALLY excited about revealing for the first time under my current goal).  Would love for you to stop by!

And in case you missed it last week, Ziggy and I were featured on our first strictly dog blog Pretty Fluffy (I mean, just too cute) and my favorite desk picks were featured on the Ashley Brooke Designs blog.

the it list | jack germain

This week’s it list is a super special one to me.  I went to undergrad with this gal and our friendship has continued to evolve and grow throughout the years.  In fact, she introduced me to my fiancé.  True story!

A couple of years ago, Jack started her own handbag line. Think sumptuous leathers, unique hardware, studs, etc. {They are seriously gorgeous and I plan on dedicating an entire post to them in the near future so stay tuned!} In the process, her blog Wasted Talent was born.  I find the title seriously ironic because her talents could not be put to better use – she truly is a Jack of all trades.  Jack uses her site as an expression of her love for high fashion, glossy editorials, in addition to fun recipes – make sure to visit and enjoy her it list picks!

If you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out yet, Alex from Dreams + Jeans and I dueled it out yesterday in an epic bookcase battle.  I could talk about bookcase styling all day long so this was such a fun one for me… Click on through to Hello, Splendor and and let me know what you think of our picks!

the it list | camila pavone

I’m so excited to have Camila Pavone of the blog {and interior design biz} Effortless Style filling out the ol’ It List today.  Camila is one of the sweetest, most enthusiastic bloggers out there and she’s got great style to boot! I love how unafraid she is to use bright colors and patterns so liberally in her home and designs {I’m trying people, I’m trying…}  I look forward to meeting this stylish lady next time I’m in NYC {hopefully at Blogfest – hint, hint Camila!} and know that we’ll get along like two peas in a pod!
